Trails, Tramping and Treasure

Tramping is possibly known as hiking in your land. Treasure references my friends ideal that when he's tramping along trails he's in his happy place. The pictures used are from an old trails booklet in black and white of the Coromandel Peninsula in New Zealand.

It's a reversible concertina book about A6 size, i dont know why but some pages maybemissing, and its out of order a bit. But you will get the idea.... the stitched lines represent trails, tracks and rivers. The quotes about walking and hiking.

never heard it called tramping but sounds right using it that way. some of these pages look like the rick rack mother used to put on my dresses for decorations.

I've never heard it called tramping either!
I like the fact that you can go from brightly colored to dark and dramatic.
it has a brooding quality! more inclined to deep thoughts? just in time for coming winter.
and look at this! MICROSOFT has let me visit and even leave a comment. (i hope it works anyway.) :) xoxo
Sandra and Tammy - come to NZ, and no one goes on a hike! Everyone goes "tramping" or a plain old "walk" - some more plainer than others!

Sandra: that's good idea but actually it's my sewing machine, one of the 28 stitches it has...

tammy: glad to see Microsoft has some sense of fair play! What is your browser, maybe that's the key. And yes it's those colours on purpose because the original booklet I tore up was black and white...
