A Touch of Orange!

I've finally decided to stop - although there are some pages that could do with a tad more - and that might happen. Some of you have seen the cover, so what now appears is "you'll get a surprise when you undo the wrap"

It's a chunky money - so that's glass on most of the pages to hold them semi-flat - then the lighting was all wrong in that space, so that's the "flash" on most of the pages

That's fabulous. I think it's perfect just the way it is.
Eye catching and very colourful.
Orange at its best!

it's Wonderful Catherine!
absolutely wonderful.
each image evokes its own 'story' in my mind.
I think this is one of your most important works.
you should do it with other colors!
do you feel that way about it?
I mean it just clicked somehow.
no words were even needed. XO
Thanks for dropping by everyone - of course I haven't explained any of the pockets - and some have extras within them, the little ones (there are 2) that are like a triangle in the corner actually flip out for more writing space they are apparently a "Rita Donnelly flip" meaning that gal probably came up with the idea...

I'm going to make a whole lot of ephemera bits for a week or so - and I will show you what the bare bones look like. I plan to mainly have them "ready to decorate" if they are made from book pages or other coloured papers.

One of my favourite utubers is Gayle and she showed us what she deems essential for any book:

belly band, fabric flip, journal card, Rita flip, decorated bag, index card with lace, glassine bag with paper napkins, long paper tuck, tag + envelope, banner, doily, pockets

there are then a whole lot of variations - including tabs, bead strings, and so forth...

Great work!
Susan
thanks Susan - this whole book has created a huge aha moment whereby I may not be making this type of book again - although the pages that are within it were the catalyst for a "return to my artists roots" - more maybe when I'm formulated the new modelling...
