A touch of Pink - Journal cards

9 in the box, a few doubles all but one in the lower row 12.5 x 9.5 cm each. And yes I did crochet those flowers from a pink paper thread...

Oh, I love those paper flowers...so cool that they are from paper thread.
I made them some time ago - about a dozen - probably for some other reason...there is a huge amount of the paper yarn on the reel. I've quite a few interesting threads, came to me from "who knows where..." I used to have someone who regularly gave me yarns, when I was a weaver with big looms...

I love the flowers too. They're so cheerful. :)
CM: yep cheerful and the best thing (not here) I could paint over them if I wanted different colours. They aren't rocket science to make although I have to have my "hands holding well..." the disabilities I have like the world to be on par with them hands...

crocheted flowers!!! ???
I'm sounding like a broken record here...
but amazing to me! LOL. truly Catherine!
I mean I've heard of and have seen very detailed origami.
but crocheted flowers from "paper thread?"
where have I been all my life? I've never heard of paper thread!
but it all turned out beautifully. :D
it dawns on me that YOU have been your own BEST physical therapist all these years.

Ann: still can't remember why "pink" started to fascinate me - but maybe I had no choice when the roasted beetroot got into the act.

tammy: I can't crochet as well now, my hands don't do lots of the stitches well, but these are relatively simple and there isn't much to them. And I have don't have to have precise anything, although the more stitches in the circle the better it forms and covers any not quite right...
I've quite a lot of that coloured paper thread, along with some other much finer paper threads - of course commercially made but still interesting and actually quite strong. I think it's quite possible to make your own paper thread, but I think I'll pass on that...

K & T: yes the pink is somewhat appealing...helps when it appears I bought a semi-shiny pink paint in a relatively large tube some time ago ... it dries glossy looking as well...
I love pink. It's a happy color and I miss having a truly girlie, all pink bedroom. Your work is beautiful.
thanks M of W...am on a bit of break at the moment - not sorting but tidying up; so far very little has been binned. But a lot of supplies have had me pondering them but getting similars into tidy piles seems a good idea...
