2020 time to get "making"

related to "hearts of a turquoise kind" - the cloth cover has specks of gold in it, the additional gold splotches was to "fix" an issue with a glue who's label had said "dries clear"
I'm not sure when this book will move to next phrase though

"Remembering Autumn" - these are some of the knitted leaves that I have made for a forthcoming book, which has much to do with the papers below.
However, this photo isn't a true representation because on that  afternoon the skies here, in New Zealand, took on an eerie "orange/yellow" view. Which totally related to the bush fires 2000km + away in Australia.

these are the possible inserts for "Remembering Autumn" - most of the pages are either my own art prints, or papers that have been enhanced by me. The sections might be changed, as there are none of the leaf prints done...

And this is the same print but on different papers...the L will definitely be in the book above! The photo is actually a couple of broad leaves from the canna lilies, 'artfully arranged'

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE

In regards to the eerie skies in NZ, it had to do with the wind direction, since Sunday, the direction has changed, no more smoke/haze; rather a stiff breeze (read: howling wind) direct from the Antarctic.
Do someone say it was SUMMER in NZ!
It's been so cold, I've had to put more layers on day/night...so far have resisted the heating...

And as to the bush fire flow on, apparently we can expect more. We are on the same drifting stream where the haze has also reached further in the South Pacific and as far as South America

I have friends and family in Australia, all have had huge difficulties...

May a GENERAL RAIN fall and help still the fires.

Yes, pray for rain! An Australian Prime Minister who wasn't a climate denier would help too.
yep, on the rain...as for the PM, apparently he's been busy on "holiday" and really didn't have time to come home and assist.

interesting that our own PM (Jacinda) has kept a low profile but has been sending batches of firemen (150) at a time, and then bringing them home when they tire, and send another batch...

the knitted leaves are beautiful used in that way. but then I always like textural things.
I couldn't believe that the leader of Australia could leave his people and his own country in such horrendous calamity and go to Hawaii on VACATION!!!
I am so fed up to here with stupid vainglorious politicians of every kind.
and yes. I'm praying hard. please. just SEND SOME RAIN!
xoxo to you dear Catherine. take care.
definitely, some of the 'creating' is leftover from some previous time...but not finished for some reason n/a ...

went shopping at the art store today...ooops, someone said she wouldn't be getting anymore "paper" but I then found a bonus packet, which is something I asked about before with this particular art shop!
I think I'm getting some "more leaves..." from a local crafter who inncocently seaid "do you want some more" so that's going to be less knitting in that avenue. But I need some "ground/earth" so that's no on the needles.

I gather it has been gently raining in some Aussie places...as the their PM - well nuff said
