the "Pink" with "Embroidery" hand made book

The basics are completed, now at some point to embellish and decorate more so that what is inside. The stitching on the spine, may look odd but the purple thread has embedded itself in the "flannel pile" ...

these are just some of the possibles journaling cards that will be included (not the vintage boat, that just got into the shoot...)

this is the covers of the 2 signatures: the pattern is actually a photocopy of one of my own hand-woven rag table mats, had the right colours!

hand dyed and painted pages by me...

on R: that is actually 2 inserts but seem to work with the pink theme

L: will be covered is the back side soft card from the rag weaving R: is what I would deem serenity - found that a large book I got from the library had this pretty marbles inserts so p/copied it onto paper...the back side is plain to for writing on

a random paper that I made marks on...

me printing pages over a semi-transparent paper and cutting to fit

cover showing signature binding stitches...

Actual overall size is approx: 19 x 14 cm

thanks - it certainly turned out well, considering it was the 2nd cover created...

Very nice. Love the cover with the stitching on it.
The finished product hides so much!
yes in the end, I too liked the cover effect...and I was using maybe 1/2 yard of the fabric, now there is still more of it besides some little bits I stitched; some of which will feature inside....
it does indeed, but it's hard to really show what is inside...or what else will be inside...

and then if it gets used later - it will fill up with more secrets...
